What is Faith in Christian Life?
Faith is an essential part and has great importance in the Christian life. As Christians, we cannot be called as followers of Christ without having faith in God, our father. Faith is a belief that everything we ask and hope for will be answered and given at the right time. It is a trust and belief to the unseen God, whose presence can be felt, although He cannot be seen.
The Bible defines faith as,
“the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
Hebrews 11:1
As self-proclaimed Christians, one should know that, without faith, it is impossible to please God. Our faith brings us the joy of salvation, and joy of being a Christian. Real happiness comes when we trust God with everything we have, be it on earth or in heaven. There is no greater joy than trusting and having full faith in God. #Faith
In the Bible, in the book of Matthew, Jesus was amazed by the faith that the woman has. Her faith has healed her daughter. No matter what difficulties we come across, we should have strong faith in God, and in doing so, nothing will be able to shake or harm us.
Shield Of Faith
We are living in a world filled with sinners. The Bible clearly states that, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. In this fallen and chaotic world, all of us will face difficulties at one point of time. But as believers of Christ, it is our faith which will help us to stand strong, despite the storm that comes our way.
As human beings, we all have enemies who are waiting to watch us take the fall. Our fall is the biggest victory that they can acquire in this lifetime. And the only thing that can shield and protect us is our faith. As the Bible says, ‘above all, taking the shield of faith with which, you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Ephesians 6:16).
Having Faith in Temptation
As Christians, we should not be shaken by the temptations that come our way. Even Lord Jesus, our savior was tempted and tried by Satan. So, we as sinners, whose faith cannot be compared to our God, are sure to be tempted and fall into the worldly trap. Your Christian faith will be tested at a point in your life time to show its importance.
There will be times when one feels all alone in this world, with no one to turn to. At this juncture, when one is faced with difficulties, this is the time when one will question the faith that they have for God. It is easy to fall into temptation, but on the other hand it is also not hard to surpass temptations; with strong faith and trust in God.

Faith With Action
With the importance of Faith in Christian life, our action or work always go hand in hand. One cannot strive forward without the other. The value of our faith is seen through our work. Even if a person proclaims to be a genuine believer of Christ, if this work remains unseen, their faith is not valid. As Christians, it is our duty to tell the world about the glory of God.
It is our duty to share the wonders of God and bring the unbelievers of Christ nearer to God, with unceasing faith. Because at the end of the day, God will not judge your work according to the numbers of follower you have. But you will be judged according to the best you have given, no matter what number it is.
Therefore, as stated above, faith and work always work together, moving forward for the extension of God’s kingdom. James 2:26 states, “for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also”. We are just an empty shelf when we have faith without work, and work without faith.
Blessings Follows
It is very easy to follow God when we have firm faith. Unshakeable faith will never go unnoticed. Instead, people will see Christ in you, enabling them to grow closer to salvation. Your faith is seen through your actions, which in return will help the lost souls, inspiring them to follow your footpath.
Our faith will be a blessing to generations that are to come in future, as your blessings will passed through. Your generations will harvest the good seed that you have sown in your lifetime. It will make a difference in their life; a ray of hope for the troubled Christians.
All servants of God must guard their faith, as temptations might come from all the corners, taking us far away from our heavenly home. As, ambassador of Christ, we must be ready to face the storm of life, fighting through darkness and come out victorious.
And the best gift that God has promised us, when we believe in him is the gift of salvation; eternal life, which one does not need to pay for, unlike the earthly world.
Faith Can Move Mountains
It will enable us to experience the miracles of God. In the Bible, Sarah remained faithful to God. Her faith was not degraded at any point of time. For which she reaped the harvest and conceived a male child at old age. Likewise, when we take a step, God will take care of the 99 steps that are ahead of us.
All things can be overcomed through our faith in Christ Jesus. The devil is defeated and has no more authority over our life. Jesus has died on the cross and has paid for all our sins with His precious blood. Now the only task for us is to believe in Him. Believing is a choice. It cannot be forced or ingrained in you forcibly. But it is purely a choice which is a free ticket to Heaven.

In conclusion, it is by grace that we are saved. Therefore, despite living among the thorns of life, let us always put our faith and trust before God, like the way Abraham, Moses, Sarah, Noah, etc has done in the Bible. Let us focus on the positive side and have faith in being a Christian, instead of being drowned by the importance of negative things that come in life. Always spent quality time with God.
Read the Bible and meditate upon the word of God; and talk with him through constant prayer. Faith will help us to overpower all difficulties and comes out victorious in life, while we are still here on earth.
